Superior epoxy pipelining
Epoxy pipe relining is a highly effective method of rehabilitating and restoring the functionality of pipes for a variety of purposes. Applications include potable hot and cold water, high-temperature water, long-distance piping, fire sprinklers, chemical/corrosive environments, municipal water storage tanks and delivery systems, and aquariums (e.g. Shamu’s at SeaWorld).
Epoxy pipelining is akin to creating a brand new pipe within an existing damaged pipe and will save you 30 to 40% on the cost of a repiping job. Once the epoxy is applied and cured, you can expect to have a problem-free water line. Epoxy lining also provides a clean, safe water to residents. We only use epoxy pipeline solutions with a lifespan of anywhere between 50 and 80 years, option dependant.
Formadrain® cross woven fiberglass
Formadrain® is a fiberglass and epoxy no-dig pipe repair system, which is steam-cured, and pulled-in-place. It does not require any excavation, and it can efficiently perform spot repairs, lateral repairs, process piping repairs and lateral-main-connection repairs.
Formadrain® is five times stronger than above-felt liners and may be custom engineered to a design life of 150 years .Once the epoxy is applied and cured, you can expect to have a problem-free drain line.
Other pipelining options
Aside from Epoxy and Formadrain®, we also undertake pipelining using traditional manufacturers’ felt lining, including Maxliner, Permaliner, Easy Liner, LMK, Nu Flow (now called SPT), and others. We can also implement engineered structural liners, and chemical liners, as well as materials from 12 different manufacturers in over 100 combinations. We also provide proprietary lining options and custom engineered pipelining.
CCTV inspection of pipelines
Pipeline inspection is conducted by our highly experienced personnel trained in locating breaks and obstacles through the use of closed-circuit television (CCTV). The interior of the pipeline is thoroughly and carefully inspected to determine if there are any conditions that may prevent the proper installation of Formadrain, etc. into the pipelines. The location is carefully and precisely noted so that such conditions are efficiently corrected. A videotape and suitable log is always kept for later reference by the client.
Sewer rehabilitation
Plumbing issues are among the most stressful and bothersome problems that can be encountered in a household or workplace. A problematic sewer that has physically deteriorated or is damaged or blocked can have you calling for emergency plumbing services. But for an effective, long-term resolution, sewer pipelining is one of your best alternatives.
We use resin or epoxy pipe lining to efficiently and effectively resolve leakage and drainage problems in sewer systems. The trenchless pipelining technology we employ eliminates the need for open excavation work that’s not only cost prohibitive but is also disruptive and messy.
San Diego Plumbing and Pipelining to the rescue!
If you require pipelining or trenchless protection services for your gas line, potable water line, fire sprinklers, sewer drain, or your pool and spa, San Diego Plumbing and Pipelining is the one to call.
We’re reliable, trustworthy, and always ready to respond.
Water Epoxy Pipelining Process
Disconnect valves and hook up hoses: First, our certified technicians disconnect valves and hook up hoses so we can dry the pipes with pressurized hot air, supplied from a compressor.
Sand Blasting: Next, pipe interiors are gently “sandblasted” with specialized particles to remove all debris and mineral build-up and prepare the internal surface of the water pipe for bonding with the epoxy.
Shooting the Epoxy: Our specially formulated epoxy is then blown through the pipes using a vortex of air to transport the epoxy, to evenly coat the interior, creating a seamless, permanent, protective barrier. New fixture valve/fittings are installed, and final testing is performed. This testing ensures no water leaks remain and that full water pressure/flow has been restored to the system.
