Toilet Repair & Installation

There’s no denying that toilets are an indispensable part of the bathroom. In fact, they’re the most utilized feature — something that also makes them easily overlooked, except when they start causing trouble, and you desperately need someone to do the toilet repair.

If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, such as clogging, lack of flushing power, leaking, continuous running, or clogging, you need to call professional plumbers immediately.

San Diego Plumbing and Pipelining is your reliable go-to partner for everything plumbing-related. This includes providing toilet repair services, as well as installation and replacement — all available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

toilet repair

Some of the most common toilet toilet-related concerns of customers include:

Toilet clogging

One of the top bathroom plumbing problems is the clogged toilet. When that happens, your toilet is basically rendered useless.

And while minor clogs are problems you may be able to handle on your own, a clog that won’t go away or one which leads to toilet overflow needs the attention of a toilet repair specialist. It could be anything, such as being overloaded with hair, toilet paper, and non-flushable objects that need to be cleared ASAP. Or, it may also be that you already have an aged system that needs replacement.

As mentioned, San Diego Plumbing and Pipelining plumbers are available 24/7. Aside from being able to efficiently address clogging problems, they are also experts in restoring total drainage and correct flushing pressure. They are equipped to solve a host of toilet-related issues, like damaged tanks and bowls, as well as leaking and running toilets.

So, please get in touch with San Diego Plumbing and Pipelining right away for your toilet-related concerns.

Leaky toilet

A toilet can start leaking externally for any number of reasons, and it doesn’t always mean that the entire system needs to be replaced. Some common causes of a leaky toilet include:

  • Condensation: Before concluding that your toilet is leaking, check if there’s any condensation caused by a humid bathroom environment. This is especially apparent during and after a shower, where condensation forms and may start dripping from your toilet. If this the case, it’s not really a problem you should worry about.
  • Cracked tank or bowl: Although toilets are built to last for a long time (up to 50 years!), the usual wear and tear of daily use can take its toll, especially in the 25-year mark. If you see hairline cracks anywhere, let your plumber know as these tend to grow bigger with the passage of time.
  • Damaged or rusty pipes: Old pipes are known to get corroded, rusted, or damaged, and eventually develop cracks that lead to water leaking around your toilet.
  • Loose or worn tank-to-bowl assembly: Your tank and bowl are securely held together by an assembly of gaskets, nuts, and bolts. But if any of these parts is damaged, worn, or loose, your toilet can start leaking.
  • Loose or worn sealing: Your toilet is kept in place at the floor with special parts and sealing material. If there’s anything amiss in this area, you may notice water pooling around the base due to a leak.

A leaky toilet is not only a major inconvenience but it can also cost you in terms of high water bills. Don’t wait for the problem to get worse — call San Diego Plumbing and Pipelining immediately.

Our expert plumbers will identify the cause of the problem and fix it for you. They’ll also let you know whether you need a complete toilet replacement.

Running toilet

An efficiently running toilet automatically stops flushing out water into the bowl once the water reaches a set level. But a toilet that won’t stop running can lead to substantial water waste (as much as 200 gallons per day!), so toilet repair is immediately required.

A toilet that won’t stop running may have any of the following common issues:

  • Worn-out flapper: The flapper is that part of the tank which prevents the water from going to the bowl when flushing is not activated. If this part is damaged or worn, water will start leaking into the bowl which is when you get a running toilet.
  • Misadjusted flush valve assembly: The flush valve assembly is that part of the system which regulates when water is released into the bowl (activated by flushing). If there is any problem in the flush valve assembly, it can cause the water to reach the overflow valve, thereby leading to water running continuously and leaking.

Other possible though less common causes of a running toilet include an old or corroded toilet handle, or problems with specific parts such as the flapper chain, fill valve, and overflow valve.

An expert plumber can easily diagnose the cause of the problem and fix it either by replacing or repairing the damaged or worn section or part.

Toilet installation and replacement

A lot of customers assume that they can DIY toilet installation work. However, having seen the consequences of faulty or poor installation through the years, we beg to differ.

Toilet installation and replacement are both time-consuming and difficult, as both require substantial plumbing work. So, if you have a new bathroom, want to upgrade, or replace an old, worn-out system, better leave the work to professionals to avoid what could be complicated and expensive problems from cropping up down the line.

Whatever the case, a reputable plumbing contractor will not only provide the work needed to correctly install a new toilet, but also give advice on improvements you may want to consider.

New toilet technology is available, and this gives customers tremendous opportunities to go green and start saving water and energy, while also enjoying the conveniences innovation brings.

Our plumbing technicians will check if the water is running efficiently, and if everything is working as it should. They’ll ensure that your new system is attractive, comfortable, and easy to use for everyone in your household.

For any toilet-related issues or concerns, please contact us today!.

We’re available 24/7, and always happy to help.
